  • Government Inspector prepares to review planning application Monday, March 19, 2012

After years spent working closely with Stratford-on-Avon District Council to create a quality scheme in accordance with the council’s development strategy, the West Stratford developers submitted a planning application for land in Shottery, West of Stratford, in October 2009.

Unfortunately, after submitting the application, the council decided to review its strategy against its own professional consultants’ advice and refused the application in February 2011.

The developers were therefore forced to lodge an appeal against the decision and a Government Planning Inspector will now hold a Public Inquiry, starting 4th April to review the decision.

The Public Inquiry is expected to last four weeks and the developers, Stratford-on-Avon District Council and other interested third parties will make representations to the inspector.

Meanwhile, Bloor Homes has published a newsletter which responds to the obvious flaws in the council’s new emerging Core Strategy.

We will be updating this website over the coming months, so please do keep visiting to stay up to date.
